Great! I just wrote quite a lengthy posting and was attempting to proofread via the edit mode, and now the post has vanished. I don't know if I can re-create what I said. Maybe I should fail the Praxis on that basis alone.
So, after waiting for the test administrator who was late, by the way, we got off to a late start. It was stuffy and not comfortable seating that was not accomodating to the leftie (which I am) You were assigned a seat, and Heidi and Karen ended up together and Alyson was behind me with very sharp pencils which she refrained from using on me! You could go to the bathroom after signing away your first born child (just kidding) but they did take your test away and give it back after you were finished. Questions: Well, I said I wouldn't do this. You are all enabling me to practice avoidance behavior. I should be doing my assignments, yet here I sit typing for the second time, my vague recollections of the test.
2nd try only maybe 2 questions on cataloging (Leona, we don't appreciate this!) Caldecott, Printz, Newbery were included African American children's author who uses collage (okay, so you all are saying Keats. I know I should have, but I got caught up in another name and somehow missed that one.) Asian influence author (we all said Say. were we making assumptions? maybe) ALA's source for reviews (2 said Booklist, 2 said School Library Journal Wouldn't it be funny if it were neither? Theme of Matt Christopher and Chris Crutch books (I knew I should have asked janet something besides how you spelled chris!) We all said Sports, except maybe Karen Reason folktales are so repeatable - Alyson and I both said because of their timeless connection to what's happening in the society We all answered HTML about something, but I don't know the question What is a hyperlink Lots about collection development and information power Developer of Big6 Who did the big survey (2 of us said the Curry Lance guy) Source for video review. again 2 said one thing 2 said another. they are both probably wrong Reconsideration stuff Only one court case Pico. we all said the same answer. We're all glad we are finished and you are not! Just joking. We won't know if we are the first to fail for 4 weeks. How convenient. You won't have to see our faces. That's it. I need a beer. it's almost noon. Oh, it's after noon. See you Monday, and sorry for the randomness. Oh yeah. I finished with 40 minutes left to check my answers which i did. If you've ever walked with me, you know I do everything FAST, except cataloging. Sorry, Leona. Bye for now. Claire
